2009: What A Great Year So Far!
The year 2009 was an exciting and wonderful year for me as a campus minister. My work as a minister inside and outside of the campus had been challenging and yet fulfilling. I feel privileged that I was part of God’s plan to witness the open doors in different schools in Caloocan.
For the past year, we were able to conduct LIFE program (Life, Integrity, Faith and Excellence) and Leadership Edge seminars to campuses such as AMA College of Caloocan, World City College (WCC), Manila Central University (MCU), Tinajeros High School, and University of the East Caloocan. These seminars were instrumental in helping the students shape their godly values and let them know their purposes in life. We saw how important it was to invest in the lives of students because they serve as the future of our society.
One of the exciting things that happened to our church was transferring to a new and better venue for our youth and Sunday gatherings. We are currently holding our services inside Victory Central Mall. This is a very strategic location because it is not only across the LRT Monumento Station and beside the bus station but it is near the campuses as well. A good venue would paved the way to reach out the commuters, business establishments, communities and most especially the students in CAMANAVA area.
The action was indeed really happening inside the campuses. We really thank God that our most awaited dream came true during the second semester. We are presently conducting youth meetings inside the campus every month with about 100 students in attendance. It was like bringing the church where the students were. In partnership with STI Caloocan and WCC campuses, we are conducting youth services that we can offer to the students. In time, we believe that God will move in our behalf and bring a harvest of students who will worship Him in spirit and in truth. Not only that, God answered our prayer when finally ENCM UE Caloocan was recognized as one of the school organizations last semester.

Great things are indeed happening in the youth ministry and I could not be more than blessed with what God is doing in Caloocan on our behalf. In my personal life, I am also so happy to have a new bundle of joy to our family. An addition is the birth of my second Josh.
I could not have done these things without the help of other campus ministers who have co-labored so much with me in the ministry too. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Bernadette, Belle, Maricel, Meann and Jay-R for their untiring support and work as we serve together in Victory Caloocan, in different campuses and in discipling students. To my Victory pastors Ferdie (Caloocan), Ferdie (Ortigas) and Gilbert (U-Belt) for their wisdom and encouragement. And most importantly to my family for their undying love towards me and to my ministry.
I would never have achieved these without God and your support and prayers. My warm thank you and great appreciation for continually inspiring me to be a servant of God by making disciples and investing in the lives of students. I am looking forward to another year of partnership with great hope and fruitfulness. May God continue to shower us with His abundant love and rich blessings in the coming 2010.
Let’s be expectant for next year with great breakthroughs and wonderful miracles!
