unliGod series: I"ve Got the Power…
This will be the last week of the Youth unliGod series focusing on the power of God that’s much available in every believer.
In this world, there are so many things the word power is being associated with. Such as intelligence, beauty & brain, wealth/riches (guns, gold, goons), authority, position, fame and strength. Perhaps if you possess one them you’re considered powerful person. Even companies today are spending and investing millions of money to promote their products (ENERGY drink booster/vitamins) through television commercials and placing them on billboards. They simply advertise to encourage and convince the people to buy in their products.
But with so many things we think to connect power with. I hope that our desires in life is to tap to the real source/supply of power which is God.
I like what Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 12:9
“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”
Looking at this scripture, God’s grace and power is so much available in our lives.
Here are the benefits as we tap in the power of God:
1. The power to live a godly life – no to temptations, to be righteous, to love, to be patient;
Titus 2:11-12 “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age.”
2. The power to endure
Colossians 1:11…being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully.
3. The power to witness
Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Knowing and realizing that God’s power is within and through us. We’re confident to do what God wants us to do and to be what God has called us to be because YOU’VE GOT THE POWER!
