things i have learned recently…

I love learning. I remember what Henry Ford said,
Other people may be there to help us, teach us, guide us along our path, but the lesson to be learned is always ours.”

I remember we had our StrengthsFinder test last year. My top five strength themes: Activator, Learner, Command, Analytical and Restorative.
When the result was disclosed, all the more i got excited knowing that one of my strength themes was LEARNING.
Learning is one of the best lessons in life.
-it brings you anywhere. it gives you what you love the most. it will excite you. broaden your perspective. expand your imagination and thinking.
Like learning from people: mentors, coaches, oldies, young, students and kids

Here are the few things i’ve learned (Random thoughts)
Travels
-expand my world. It gave me all the more bigger and brighter perspective in life and ministry.
-a time of refreshing, a time to recharge and a time to evaluate things in life personally.
-love for nature. sight seeing.
every time i travel the ideas just keep on flowing in my head. Whether i’m inside a car or train or airplane i can’t help but keep on thinking, dreaming, envisioning and praying.
- it gives me excitement all the time.
if you have an opportunity to go to places whether it’s a mission or ministry work, business and pleasure you should grab it.

Faith
Now i understand all the more that i need to live by faith not by sight over my present situation. It was evident that when we have faith in God it pleases Him. (Heb 11:6). Attending the conference in the States was not that easy for me. I have to raise my own finances.campus harvest
But all those hard work paid off, God provided for all my needs more than I can imagine. Thanks to those who supported and prayed for me. I came back inspired, excited and ready for the big harvest to come.

Connections
-i love connecting with people: love ones, friends, influential people, students, etc.
One of my goals and reasons to attend the Campus Harvest conference in the States this year is to connect once more with people. I want to get as much ideas and strategies from them, to learn how they will be able implement it. Through that we would be able to apply in the campus ministry and probably in the local church in our own context.

la-gamei had the privilege of watching an NBA game (Lakers vs. Nuggets). Raul Ortiz gave us tickets because his bro-in-law works for Lakers organization. (thanks bro for the treat it was a dream come true for me)

A friend also treated me to SeaWorld. There was a great animal show which featured one of the biggest sharks (killer) in the world. (SHAKU rocks)
plus…
-every time i travel in the States i have a place to stay. in my three years of going there, in every state i went thru, there was a place i could stay.
I had favors from friends and relatives who made me stayed with them. Because of that friendship we became partners in the ministry as well.

Social Networkingseaworld
i’ve realized the importance of this.
it will connect you somehow with friends all over the world. it gives you update of what’s happening in their lives as well. From skype, facebook to instant messaging and plurk people around the globe will follow your whereabouts.

and of course…

Life Time Partner
i value the importance of having a wife or Lifetime Development Partner (LDP) and not just having a Ministry Partnership Development (MPD).
I appreciate my wife so much. Jing is a tremendous blessing in my life, in our family and ministry. She’s a great compliment to me. A blessing from above. “Hulog ng langit.”

i want to keep learning and learning. i want to make sure that learning should be part of my life.

How about you what have you learned recently?
